Join us for our 9th Annual Wicked Fun Run and Fall Festival, provided to you by the Brown Elementary School PTO!
Schedule of Events
9am: 50-meter Monster Dash
The 50 meter monster dash is open to all preschool and elementary school kids. There will be six groups of sprinters: preschool, kindergarten, 1st graders, 2nd graders, 3rd graders, and 4th graders. There is no registration charge for this event, but please consider making a $5 donation to the PTO on the day of the event. Kids will be given halloween candy for participating in the 50 meter dash. There are no bibs for this event.
9:15am: Warmup
Join us near the Starting Line for a group warmup hosted by Boston Body Pilates!
9:30am: The Wicked Fun Run
The 2-mile Fun Run will kick off at 9:30am. All ages are encouraged to participate in the run. Costumes are not required but highly encouraged! The run will take place in the Sherwood/Barnesdale neighborhood behind Brown Elementary School. Every runner will be assigned a bib, and the run will be professionally timed by Racewire. The race will start and end at the front of Brown School. The course will be marked and volunteers will help direct the runners.
All students will receive a medal for completing the 2 mile race and there will be trophies for the fastest male/female at each age group (no medals for parents/adults). The age groups are: K and 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders, 4th graders, middle/high schoolers and Adult.
Fall Festival: 10am-12pm
Directly following the race join us for a free Fall Festival! Activities will include: pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, balloon artist, bounce houses, a DJ dance party, bake sale, pumpkin painting, craft tables and games...and more! We will also be joined by many local youth sports organizations for fun games and information!
Important Information:
Online registration for the race closes SATURDAY 10/24 at 4pm. However, you can pay cash or Venmo Brown PTO at the day of the event if you wish to run.
Parking and Safety Notices:
Parking at the school will be closed off by 9:10am to prepare for the runners. Please plan to arrive well in advance of the parking closure. Be aware that this run is on the open road but is in a quiet neighborhood. Limited traffic is expected. We ask that all runners and walkers stay to the right side of the road on or near the sidewalk.

3. RACE DAY: Sunday 10/25 at 7:30a- 9:30a Registration Table (Front of Brown School)

2 Mile Fun Run - Adult $25 plus processing fee
2 Mile Fun Run Family Registration $75 plus processing fee
A Family Team must be 2-6 members registered in the same transaction. How to create your Family Team: Input Participant 1's information and then click "Create New Team." Then, please click "Add Another Registrant" to add other family members; select the 2 Mile Fun Run Family Registration for EACH member to register, before proceeding to check-out. You will only be charged ONE $75 registration fee for your family of 2-6 members.
