(Please Note: Route subject to change.)
We recommend riding with a team! Riding with a group can help motivate you to get out, log more miles, build friendships and can also help you be seen by drivers. Learning from the more experienced riders can help you build confidence, learn about proper gear, and can push you to become a stronger rider overall, not to mention you can save between 20-40% of your energy drafting in a group!
TEAM DISCOUNT:
Teams consist of FIVE or more riders. If you would like to start a team, please reach out to the Event Coordinator before registering to receive a promo code for 10% off registration costs for you and your team members.
Contact Jenelle at 360-495-5734 or foundation@sp-mc.org for a team promo code.
Team Captains will receive a FREE Captain Jersey!
If you create a new team, you automatically become the default Team Captain. The team captain has the choice of allowing anyone from the public to join the team or to add an access code to limit who may join.
Will there be transportation available for riders?
Shuttles will be available back from Montesano & Westport on a limited basis for riders (if you are finishing in Elma, please arrange for your own transportation back to McCleary). Shuttle tickets are $10 and each cyclist will need their own ticket. Ticket fees go towards vehicle rental and fuel expenses. Purchase tickets in the PRODUCTS section of registration.
Shuttles will be departing approximately every 60-90 minutes on a first come, first serve basis.
Depending on your chosen route/distance, there will be different activities available to you. Once you have completed your ride and stopped in at your finish line’s check-out, please plan on hanging around the venue to pick up some refreshments.
Our Westport Finish Line Pavilion will be located at the Viewing Tower Park near the jetty. You will find a yummy BBQ lunch, Beer Garden and a selection of beverages and electrolyte drinks in addition to water. We invite Elma & Montesano Finishers to stop by the Westport Pavilion after they have checked-out at their finish line, listen to some music and visit our vendor booths.
Families are also welcome! As a rider, a BBQ lunch comes with your registration. If your family would like to attend, you can pre-purchase meal tickets in the products section of this website or meal tickets will be available for purchase onsite in Westport as well (based upon availability).
We are currently working on this and will update as soon as we have the information. We will also send out an email to registered riders with the information once its available.
Design for 2026 jerseys are currently being worked on. We will update the site and send out an email to registered riders when they 2026 jerseys are ready to be ordered!
Team Captains
If you are signed up as a team captain and have 5 riders (including yourself) on your team, you receive a free Captain Jersey!
Yes. Local laws may restrict certain e-bike use on sidewalks, for example Class 3 will not be allowed on the final section of the Westport Light Trail. As the Ride the Harbor route mostly follows city streets and county highways, you may use Class 1 or Class 2 e-bikes.
Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to coordinate and streamline this aspect of the ride. Additionally, all e-riders must be self sufficient, and are responsible for charging their bikes and carrying the tools they need.
We will have volunteer support crews (SAG vehicles) throughout the ride, however, we do not require that they be well versed in e-bikes. We cannot guarantee that they will be able to fix mechanical problems on e-bikes. Additionally, our support vehicles may not have bike racks that can carry the additional weight of an e-bike.
Having organized athletic events for a few years, we have found that regardless of rain on the day, invariably things work out well to the benefit of the athletes. Unless we have unsafe conditions like the air quality issues due to wildfires, the ride will go on. Our volunteers still come out and staff all the necessary rest stops, our SAG drivers are committed to helping in whatever way they can, and the riders still depart at their appointed times.
Rest assured, regardless of the forecast, the Tour de Wellness will go forward, and we urge you to come and enjoy the day with us. If riding in the rain is simply not your thing but you have raised funds, please come down and drop off any remaining donations and enjoy the BBQ lunch at the finish line!
Most often, those who choose to soldier on find that riding in the face of adversity provides them with a more fulfilling experience and certainly epic stories to tell.
