My Story…
On September 3, 2025, I went in for an ultrasound on what I thought was encapsulated milk. I had asked my OB about it a bunch of times while I was freshly postpartum and she finally acknowledged my worry and sent me for an ultrasound.
That appointment just snowballed and I quickly found myself getting my first (and last) mammogram and 2 biopsies done. I was diagnosed with Stage 1B triple positive invasive ductal carcinoma. I was 29 years old and 4 months postpartum with my first baby, my hero son Reeves.
I stopped breastfeeding and said goodbye to ever nursing another baby, underwent an egg retrieval in hopes to have more children in the future, 6 rounds of chemotherapy, 18 rounds of immunotherapy, cold capping, and a double mastectomy all while raising my first baby alongside my husband, Brennan.
I’m so grateful that it was caught early and that my body responded well to my treatment. I’m so grateful for my doctors and nurses who saved my life. I’m so grateful I get to be a mom to my little boy and raise him. Thank you for your donations to this cause that means so much to me.
