Hingham 4th of July

One of Hingham’s most beloved Independence Day traditions is back! The 67th Annual Hingham July 4th Road Race is set for Saturday, July 4, 2026, and promises a fun, festive start to the holiday. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a new resident, or a family cheering from the sidelines, this race is a spectacular way to connect with our incredible South Shore community.

Race Highlights

• Distance: 4.47 miles
• Start: Hingham Middle School, 7:00 AM
• Finish: Downtown Hingham Square under the iconic American flag
• Route: Scenic, tree-lined Main Street with crowd support the whole way

Registration & Packet Pickup

• Pre-Race Registration: $35 online through July 3
• Race-Day Registration: $40 on July 4 (5:30–6:30 AM)

Bus Shuttle Information-

Enjoy a stress‑free morning—avoid downtown traffic and parking hassles-by taking advantage of the shuttles.

To the Start Line

Departs at 5:15 a.m., from Station Street parking lot

Drop‑off is directly at the middle school—no need to navigate parking

Return Shuttles

Begin 7:30 a.m., from South Street near the CVS parking lot, returning runners to the Middle School area

Stick around for Hingham’s famous Fourth of July Parade at 10:00 AM and enjoy the historic charm of Downtown Hingham, home to boutique shops, local coffee spots, and picturesque streets.
