Since 1914, the Junior League of St. Louis (JLSL) has been committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Today, our mission is just as strong than ever.

As part of the Association of Junior Leagues International, JLSL is one of nearly 300 chapters across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the U.K.

What We Do

Community Impact in St. Louis

Junior League of St. Louis (JLSL) partners with community agencies that reflect our mission, vision and values. Focused on improving the health, education and welfare of women and children, JLSL provides much-needed volunteer training and serves as a catalyst for positive change for our community through our partnerships.

JLSL gives back to the community through financial contributions and the development of trained volunteers.

• More than $4 million has been awarded to area nonprofit agencies since JLSL’s founding in 1914.
• JLSL financially supports select JLSL programs that complement JLSL priorities.
• Members donate more than 16,000 volunteer hours each year through community organizations, providing direct services to those in need.
• JLSL prepares members for civic leadership. Since our inception, JLSL members have served on hundreds of nonprofit boards, chaired countless community-wide events and pursued public office.
