In collaboration with New South Wales Athletics (NSWA) and the NSW Office of Sport, the TCS Sydney Marathon Run Club will deliver a new initiative in 2026 - TCS Sydney Marathon Track Nights.
The first event of the series - starting at 6:30pm at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre on Wednesday 18th March - is a safe and welcoming environment for women and gender diverse identifying participants to learn a new training modality to optimise their marathon experience.
Funded through the Safer Cities program, the key findings from the Run My Way project managed by the NSW Office of Sport will be shared with participants during the session, bringing to light the challenges women face in running through expert research methodologies.
Please note that only women and gender diverse identifying runners are permitted to register for the 18 March Track Nights event. Three further Track Night events will be delivered in 2026, open to all genders across all communities.
Expertly guided by our TCS Sydney Marathon Head Coaches, participants will build capacity through marathon specific track sessions, while fostering an encouraging and empowered community.
With safety at the forefront of thought with these sessions, collective adaptive capacity will be engrained throughout these sessions. Demonstrating gender differences to perceptions of safety and allowing for productive and educational elements will form important parts of the program.
