TAVACO Virtual Race – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Can I start the race before April 2nd (the official start date)?
Yes, you may begin before April 2nd; however, results will only be accepted from April 2nd onward. - Can I use the health app on my phone to track my steps or distance?
Yes, you may use your phone’s health or fitness app, once it accurately tracks your steps or distance. - Do I need to be in Tobago to participate in the race?
No. Since this is a virtual race, participants can complete it from anywhere in the world. The race is simply Tobago-themed. - How will I receive my medal if I am not in Tobago?
Medal distribution will take place in both Trinidad and Tobago. For international participants located outside of Trinidad and Tobago, medals will be shipped to their respective locations. Please note the international shipping cost will be the responsibility of the participant. - What if I am in Trinidad or Tobago but miss the medal distribution?
Participants will have the option to use our courier service, or they may schedule a mutually convenient date with the coordinators to collect their medal. - How long do I have to submit my results?
The race will run for six (6) weeks, during which participants can complete the race and submit their results. - When I pay one hundred and sixty dollars ($160), is that for all four (4) segments?
No. The $160 registration fee covers only one segment. Participants must register separately for each segment they wish to complete. - Do you accept payments in person?
No. Payments must be made via bank transfer, direct deposit, or directly through Race Roster. - What do you mean by “Run/Walk”?
The race is designed to be completed at your own pace. Participants may run or walk to complete the 5K distance.
