Run for a Great Cause and Protect Our Sound
Every June, our community comes together at Dane Street Beach in Beverly for Salem Sound Coastwatch’s annual Run for the Beach 5K.
This fun, family friendly event supports our mission to protect and improve the environmental health of Salem Sound and its watershed.
Bring your friends and family and make a morning of it. Enjoy:
• A photo booth to capture the day
• A life size inflatable humpback whale, Salt the Whale
• An interactive marine touch tank
• Beachside activities and community fun
Cheer on the runners, enjoy the ocean views, and celebrate our shared commitment to a healthy coastline.

If you plan to pick up your bib on race morning, please arrive early. The race will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.

The race will take place rain or shine.
Registration
• Advance registration: $40 (includes race T shirt through May 31)
• Same day registration: $55, opens at 8:00 AM
Event Information
• Parking: Free street parking in surrounding neighborhoods
• Restrooms: Available at the beach house
• Water: Water stations along the course and at the finish line
• Merchandise: Vintage race T shirts and SSCW gear available for purchase
Additional Notes
• Children 10 and under: $10 when running or walking with a registered adult
• Strollers: Free when accompanied by a registered adult
• Virtual runners: Register with promo code VIRTUAL25 ($25, no T shirt included)
• Fundraising: Optional during registration and a great way to deepen your impact

Looking for a fun way to get involved in your community and support Salem Sound Coastwatch? Our volunteers are the heart of Run for the Beach, and we couldn’t do it without you!
From race setup and registration to handing out water and snacks, cheering along the course, and helping with cleanup, there are plenty of ways to jump in and make a difference.
