MOWC Mississauga Open Water Challenge

Hosted by The Mississauga Canoe Club, the 2nd annual Mississauga Open Water Challenge (MOWC) will take place on Lake Ontario in Port Credit on Sunday, June 21st 2026.

This 10 kilometer multi-discipline paddling event welcomes a variety of craft, including:

• OC1 (Single Outrigger Canoe)

• OC2 (Double Outrigger Canoe)

• OC6 (Six-Person Outrigger Canoe)

• SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboard)

• Surfski

Race Registration:

One race: $85

Two races: $125

Three races: $125 (3rd race free!)

Register for one or all three and make the most of a full day of racing on the water! Your registration includes access to all race amenities, safety support, delicious lunch and race souvenir.

Paddle hard, race often, and celebrate together!

This "Rain-or-Shine" event features a 10 km open water course with 3 race starts throughout the day, offering paddlers the chance to participate in one or more categories. The inclusive format encourages both seasoned racers and newcomers to experience the thrill of paddling on the open water. Each paddler must register separately and sign a waiver. Please select a single race or a bundled package if you would like multiple races and disciplines. If you are a member of an OC2 or OC6 crew, be sure that all paddlers are aware of their “team name” prior to registration. Ensure that all team-mates register with the same team name.
