About the 5K
Get your friends and family together to raise money and support a great cause! Why not get some exercise and join your community while you’re at it. This event is designed to raise funds and awareness for our Scholarship, but also ensure that year after year students will get the opportunity to apply. What better way to support our local community than through our youth!

The Move Through Motivation (501c3 Non-Profit) Scholarship has been designed to allow students grades 4-12 and opportunity to receive a scholarship. This isn’t your typical high school graduation scholarship. This is an opportunity to continue to get a scholarship year after year, starting in grade 4. Why you may ask? We believe that supporting those who want to improve their own community and situation should be given every opportunity to do so.
How is this different than other scholarships? Other than starting at a younger age and have 6 scholarships awarded per year (2 per category), our board of local community members will mentor each of the scholarship recipients to offer guidance and support. These board members range from city council members to business owners to professional athletes. We believe the year long mentorship will be more valuable than the scholarship itself.
