Raise money for Northwest Wisconsin Cancer Center Compassionate Care Fund
Northwest Wisconsin Cancer Center (NWCC) of Tamarack Health Ashland Medical Center, in collaboration with Essentia Health, opened in the spring of 2016. The NWCC offers comprehensive cancer care radiation therapy through a state-of-the-art Varian Truebeam linear accelerator. This machine is fully capable of all modern treatment modalities, including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Volumetric Arc Therapy (VMAT), gated treatments, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT/SABR), and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). It allows patients to receive the same services provided at larger, regional cancer centers right here in Ashland.
NWCC is built around providing expert cancer care through medical and radiation oncology treatments. From using the latest treatments to supportive therapies in a comfortable space, your care is focused around you. NWCC tries to create the most comfortable patient experience possible. Treatment couches offer heat and massage options. Local artwork showcases the natural beauty of our region. A nourishment area provides food and beverages for patients undergoing long treatments. And patient areas always have extra room to ensure families can stay with their loved ones during this difficult time.
