Run for the Pies

The Run for the Pies is one of the oldest and most competitive running events in Jacksonville. The first race was held as the Lakewood Twilight Run in 1979 and renamed the Run for the Pies in 1980. The race features two 5K runs. An elite 5K at 6:00 PM followed by the citizens 5K at 6:30 PM. After the races there is a large block party in James Weldon Johnson Park.

• Prize money in the Championship Race
• Overall and age-group awards in the Open 5K
• Custom designed running hats and Moon Pies to males under 22:00 and females under 28:00.

Race Proceeds go to support high school cross country and track programs in Duval county and the Summer Camp Scholarship Program and to support local running trails. You can donate directly to these causes at the donation link.
