📝 REGISTRATION

When and where is the event taking place?
Our 5K starts at 6:00 AM on Saturday 30th May, 2026 at the Govindra Roopnarine Recreation Ground, Penal.


What is the registration fee?
The fee is TT$150.00 for the early bird discount. From the 4th May 2026, the fee increases to TT$170.00.


How do I register for the event?
Registration is completed online on this Race Roster Event page using credit card payments.


What if I don't have a credit card?
You can use a Promo code instead of a credit card for registration. Promo codes are available for purchase via cash or bank transfer. Once you have a Promo code, registration is completed online on this Race Roster Event page using the Promo code instead of a credit card.


Can I transfer my registration to someone else or get a refund if I can't participate?
No, registrations are non-transferable and non-refundable. However, some exceptions may apply in certain circumstances. Please email us at metronomestt@gmail.com for any queries. There is no guarantee a request for transfer or refund will be granted.


🚼 AGE LIMITS

Is there an age limit to participate?
Yes, registration is open to persons between ages 4 to 99 years (as of 30th May 2026). Parental consent must be given for participants between ages 4 to 17 years.


Can kids younger than 4 years participate?
Kids younger than 4 years are welcomed to participate once they are supervised by their parent or legal guardian. However, these kids will not be eligible for a medal upon crossing the finish line. In this situation, we suggest parents give their medals to their kids or some other suitable token as encouragement for completion.


🏷️ BIB COLLECTION

Will there be bib collections?
Yes, we will update on our Event Details page and our social media channels with the locations, dates and times to collect your bibs.


Can bibs be collected on the morning of the race?
No, unfortunately we cannot accommodate bib collection on the morning of the race. We will not be responsible for any uncollected bibs. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to make arrangements to pickup your bib during bib collection.


Can I give my bib to someone else?
No, your bib number is associated to you, which includes your age, gender, team and address. These are used to determine prize winners. If you participate with a bib that is not yours, you will automatically be disqualified for any prize.


🏁 RACE DAY

Can I walk instead of run the 5K?
Sure! Our event welcomes both runners and walkers. The goal is to promote health and wellness while having fun, so feel free to participate at your own pace.


Will there be water stops along the route?
Yes, there will be two water stops - one at the end of the first mile and the other at the end of the second mile. There will also be refreshments at the race village.


Are strollers or pets allowed on the course?
Yes, but with consideration. Participants with strollers or dogs are encouraged start behind the other participants for safety reasons. All dogs must be kept on a leash and owners must clean up after them.


What safety measures are in place for the event?
Ambulance services from the T&T Fire Service (TTFS) will be present at the event. Additionally, there will be a police (TTPS) presence along the race route.


Where do I park?
Parking is available near to the Recreation Ground. Please arrive early as closer to race time there will be restricted traffic on the roadway which will delay or even prevent you from reaching the event. Due to Penal/Debe Regional Corporation (PDRC) policy governing recreation grounds, there will be no parking on the Ground itself.
