We’re all going to grow old — it’s simply a matter of time. But how we experience those later years can be shaped by the support, dignity and sense of community around us. For many seniors and their families, navigating the challenges of aging can be difficult. When dementia or cognitive impairment becomes part of that journey, the challenges can become even greater. That’s why my family and I are grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Strides for Seniors 2026 5K / 2.5k run/walk on October 3rd and raise funds to support the important work being done for seniors and the wider community in York Region. We’re looking forward to running and walking, in support of a meaningful cause, and hopefully making a small difference in the lives of seniors and their families. Every stride counts. Every step counts. Every contribution helps. And every one of us will be a senior someday. We hope you’ll support us along the way.
