RUNNING EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Participant Eligibility
- Entry is open to all Malaysian citizens possessing a valid National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) or passport, as well as foreign nationals possessing a valid residence pass, work permit, or international passport.
- The following minimum age requirements apply, calculated based on the participant’s age on the date of the event: three (3) years and above for the 5KM Fun Run category.
- Participants under eighteen (18) years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or have obtained prior consent from the same. Accompanying parents or guardians are required to register as participants in the event and shall assume full responsibility for the welfare and safety of said minors.
- The participant acknowledges that running involves inherent risks. It is the participant’s sole responsibility to ensure they are medically fit and sufficiently trained to participate. The Organizer shall not be held liable for any injury, accident, or death occurring during or in connection with the event. Participants are strongly strongly advised to undergo a medical examination prior to registration.
2. Registration & Fees
- Registration forms will only be processed and confirmed upon receipt of full payment of the participation fee by the Organizer.
- All participation fees, contributions, and donations paid are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable to other individuals, and cannot be deferred for any reason whatsoever.
- The Organizer reserves the absolute right to refuse any registration, limit the number of entries, or close registration prior to the deadline without prior notice should the participation quota be filled.
- The Organizer reserves the right to cancel a participant’s registration if found that the participant has provided false information, failed to make the required payment, or does not meet the eligibility criteria.
- Upon completion of the registration process, the participant is deemed to have agreed to abide by all terms, conditions, and regulations governing the event.
3. Event Apparel, Medals, & Race Kit Collection
- Every duly registered participant shall receive a race kit corresponding to their registered category.
- In the event of event sponsorship, sponsor logos may be printed on the sleeves and reverse side of the event apparel.
- The final produced apparel and/or medals may vary slightly in appearance from initial design drafts or images.
- Race kit collection must take place on the designated dates, times, and locations upon presentation of the confirmation slip and a valid NRIC or passport.
- Participants may appoint a representative to collect the race kit on their behalf, provided the representative presents proof of registration (printed or screenshot) and the participant’s NRIC number.
- No courier services are provided, and no race kit collection counters will be operational on the day of the event.
- Requests for changes in apparel size during race kit collection days will strictly not be entertained.
- Uncollected race kits after the stipulated collection period shall be deemed forfeited, and the Organizer reserves the right to retain, dispose of, or redistribute said kits at its discretion.
4. Event Day Regulations
- Participants must prominently wear the official bib number at all times during the run.
- Participants are required to remain on the officially designated route and must avoid causing obstructions to the route or other participants.
- Pets of any kind are strictly prohibited from the event premises and route for safety reasons.
- The use of non-motorized or wheeled vehicles, including but not limited to rollerblades, bicycles, electric scooters, or wheeled shoes, is strictly prohibited on the running route. Exceptions apply only to official event vehicles, medical vehicles, wheelchairs, and baby strollers for categories where explicitly permitted.
- The Organizer reserves absolute discretion to disqualify and remove any individual from the event immediately for breach of regulations, misconduct, or if deemed physically unfit to continue the run.
5. Safety, Liability & Waiver of Claims
- Participants enter this event entirely at their own risk and assume full responsibility for their health and physical condition.
- By participating, the participant agrees to waive all claims and release the Organizer, sponsors, employees, and medical personnel from any and all liability for any loss, damage, claims, proceeds, costs, expenses, injury, or death occurring before, during, or after the event.
- The Organizer accepts no responsibility for the loss of or damage to participants' personal property or vehicles parked at the event venue.
6. Postponement, Cancellation & Amendments
- The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone the event, delay the start time, alter the route, or change the event format to a virtual run due to reasons of safety, inclement weather, natural disasters, directives from authorities, or factors beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control (Force Majeure).
- No claims for refunds of fees shall be entertained in the event of cancellation or alteration due to the aforementioned factors.
- The Organizer reserves the right to amend, interpret, add to, or delete any portion of these event terms and conditions at its sole discretion from time to time.
7. Data Protection & Media Usage
- All personal data provided by participants will be stored in a database and utilized solely for official matters pertaining to the event.
- Participants consent to being contacted by the Organizer for notifications, promotions, and communication via email or SMS.
- The Organizer and authorized media entities hold irrevocable and unconditional rights to record and utilize photographs, video recordings, or any other form of documentation of participants during the event for current or future promotional purposes without any compensation to the participant.
