Say BOO to Cancer at the
17th Annual Pink Pumpkin Run!
The Foundation for Marshall Medical Centers invites you to the 17th Annual Pink Pumpkin Run - a beloved community tradition supporting mammography and cancer services right here at Marshall Medical Centers.
Join us on Halloween morning, Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Guntersville Civitan Park for a fun, festive event filled with purpose! The day includes our signature 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run, plus music, kids’ activities, photo ops, and the crowd-favorite Pink Pancake Brunch.
This year, we’re saying “BOO to Cancer!” and we want YOU to join the fun. Costumes are highly encouraged (the more creative, the better), but keep it fun and family-friendly. The only thing we want to spook is cancer! Team costumes are always a hit and make race day even more memorable.
Whether you run, walk, skip, or strut your way to the finish line, every step helps provide lifesaving mammograms and cancer services for local women in our community.
Let’s come together, raise awareness, and give cancer something to be afraid of.
Packet Pick-Up Opportunities:
- Friday, October 30 from 3–6 PM: Guntersville Rec Center Multi-Purpose Room
- Saturday, October 31 from 7:15–8:45 AM: Guntersville Civitan Park
Why We Run
Proceeds from the Pink Pumpkin events will support cancer care service programs at Marshall Medical Centers. The primary recipient of these funds is the Mammography Assistance Program (MAP) which provides financial assistance to women who are unable to afford an annual mammogram. Many women delay or forgo this potentially life-saving screening due to barriers such as lost wages from time off work, lack of transportation, or the cost of gas. Thanks to MAP, we can help remove these obstacles and ensure more women have access to essential care. We also participate in honor and memory of loved ones who have faced the fight against cancer.
To see just how much this event means to our community, we invite you to watch last year’s video filled with heartfelt testimonials and personal stories that make the Pink Pumpkin Run so special:
Teams provide an awesome opportunity to participate in the Pink Pumpkin Run! Gather your family and friends to participate in someone's honor or memory. Join forces with your co-workers as a way for your business to send a strong message to customers, employees, members and other stakeholders that your organization cares about the health of our community. Or, rally your church of civic group to participate in a family-friendly event while gaining valuable exposure for your organization! Simply create or find the team you'd like to join during the registration process.
Sign up as a fundraiser in the Pink Pumpkin Run Challenge!
Each year hundreds of women are able to receive free mammogram screenings through the Mammography Assistance Program because of people like you. Likewise, local cancer patients are given the care they deserve at the Marshall Cancer Care Center to make it through a tough diagnosis. With your help, we can make a BIG difference in the lives of women and cancer patients in our community.
Collecting donations for this cause is fun and easy. Simply send an email to your family, friends and co-workers, post a link to your fundraising page via social media or host a mini-fundraiser with your team to make a difference.
ALL THE MONEY YOU RAISE WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT TO LOCAL CANCER PATIENTS! Get started today by creating your pledge page!
