We are honoured to be participating in the Butterfly Run Vancouver for the third year in a row. This event continues to hold such a special place in our hearts as we walk and run in memory of our precious daughter - Sienna Kaur Toor. She was born prematurely at 23 weeks and 6 days on April 24th, 2024 and passed away shortly after birth.

We always intended to hold you for your first breath, not your last.

Those words carry a weight that is difficult to put into words. Sienna’s life was far too brief but the love we have for her is endless. She is forever our daughter, forever a part of our family, and forever carried with us in everything we do.

The Butterfly Run is a heartfelt event that honours families who have experienced pregnancy loss, infant loss, TFMR, or infertility. It is a day of remembrance, healing, connection, and community — a day where we can say our babies’ names, honour the lives that changed ours, and walk alongside others who understand this kind of loss.

Over the past two years, we have been incredibly humbled by the love and support shown to Team Sienna. From those who have walked and run beside us, to those who have donated, shared our story, and supported us from afar, we are endlessly grateful. Your support has helped us continue to honour Sienna while also helping other families navigating unimaginable loss.

This October 3rd, we will once again come together for Sienna.

We invite you to join Team Sienna -whether you walk, run, donate, or simply carry Sienna and all of the babies gone too soon in your heart that day. Every person who stands beside us helps keep her memory alive.

The Butterfly Run Vancouver has also been an incredible source of comfort and connection for our family. Through counselling, emotional support, community, and friendships with other bereaved parents, we have been reminded that no family should have to walk this path alone. Every dollar raised helps make these vital supports available to families who need them.

As we enter our third year, our reason for being there remains the same.

For Sienna.

For the life we dreamed of with her.

For the love that never left.

For every baby deeply loved and forever missed.

And for every family learning how to carry both grief and love together.
