The 12th Annual Trick or Trail 5k & 1 Mile presented by Aetna returns to the heart of Hendersonville in 2026!
Get ready for spooky fun at the 12th Annual Trick or Trail 5k & 1 Mile, presented by Aetna! This Halloween-themed race starts and ends in Hendersonville’s Historic 7th Avenue District.
After your run (or walk!), head over to the Fall Festival at the Farmers’ Market for costumes, treats, and tons of festive vibes. Costumes encouraged, fun guaranteed! Come ready to spook, sprint, and snack your way through this ghoulishly good time!
Costumes are highly encouraged, and prizes will be given out for the best ones!
Kids 12 & Under Run the 5k for Just $25!
Now through October 11th, 5k participants age 12 and under can register for only $25 — just enter their birthdate at checkout and the discount applies automatically. The price goes up to $30 October 12th. All 5k participants still get a finisher medal, and don’t forget — the free shirt deadline is September 27th!

 | Each year the race has a costume contest offering a great opportunity for kids (and kids-at-heart) to have their own fun at a Halloween-themed event and break in costumes early! Costumes are highly encouraged, and awesome prizes will be given out for the best ones! Award Categories include: Overall Best-Dressed Kids Costume Best-Dressed Costume Individual Best-Dressed Friends/Family Best-Dressed Pet Most Original Costume 'We can't believe you ran in that costume!' |

From socks to sneakers & beanies to blankets—you can make a big difference!
The Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County is collecting winter items to help keep their students warm throughout the winter season. Our goal is to collect 100 items for the Club. The list includes:
- Socks
- Beanies
- Blankets
- Gloves
- Small space heaters
- Jackets - no smaller than 5T and up to adult 2XL
- Sneakers - tennis shoes
- Toys
- Sunscreen
Help us support the Boys and Girls Club by bringing your donations to drop off at packet pickup on race morning!
