Thanksgiving morning on the coast is more fun together. We need 30 volunteers to help make the Largest Family Thanksgiving Tradition happen. No experience needed, just good energy!
Pick Your Crew
Volunteer for one shift and run the race for free, or race the Moonlight Beach Half Marathon instead!
🌅 Group 1: Setup Crew
Before the race | You can run: the 10K or the Half
🏁 FINISH LINE & RACE VILLAGE
Set up the finish line, arch and barricades. Put up tents and signs, and get everything ready for runners.
Once setup is done, head to the start line and run the 10K! Or take a free Moonlight Beach Half Marathon entry instead.
💧 Group 2: Water Station Crew
On course during the race | Perk: free Half Marathon entry
🥤 WATER STATION ON THE COURSE
Set up your table, fill cups and keep runners hydrated and cheering.
You're on course during the race, so your perk is a free entry to the Moonlight Beach Half Marathon!
🧹 Group 3: Takedown Crew
After the 5K | You can run: the 5K or the Half
🏁 FINISH LINE & RACE VILLAGE
Take down the finish line and barricades. Pack up tents and signs, and leave Encinitas cleaner than we found it.
Run the 5K first, then meet the crew for takedown. Or take a free Moonlight Beach Half Marathon entry instead.

When you arrive, sign the waiver and our team will give you an overview and show you your station.

Setup Crew runs the 10K. Takedown Crew runs the 5K. Water Station Crew gets a free Moonlight Beach Half Marathon entry.
Rather run the half? Setup and Takedown crews can swap their 10K or 5K entry for a free spot in the Moonlight Beach Half Marathon instead!
Bring a friend or the whole family! Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
