When do I pick up my race packet?
Details will be shared closer to the event
Event-day pickup will be available, but we strongly encourage early pickup to avoid lines and ensure a smooth start.
Can I walk as part of a team?
- Absolutely! We encourage you to register, fundraise, and walk as a team. Coordinate fun accessories, outfits or fun colours to show your team spirit! Please note that the first person to register in your team will be prompted to create a team name, and will automatically be assigned as the team captain.
How do I raise money for the cause?
- Once you are registered for the event, your personal fundraising page is automatically created! Your page contains options that will allow you to share your unique link and spread the word! You can also fundraise as part of a team. A team page will also automatically be created and you may share that as well to invite others to support your team!
Will I get a t-shirt with my registration?
- Yes, all registrants over the age of 3 will receive an event t-shirt included with their registration. Please note the t-shirts are local pick-up only.
Can I register the day of the walk?
- Yes! Day-of registrations are welcome - simply scan the QR code posted around the event area and register from your phone. Volunteers will be available to help with mobile registration. We recommend registering in advance if possible to skip the lines! T-shirts will not be available for day-of registrants.
Where can I park?
- Free, on-site parking is available at the Shift Community Recreation Centre.
Can I bring a stroller?
- Yes! Strollers are welcome. Please note that small portions of the route include gravel or grass - plan accordingly for comfort and safety.
Can I bring my dog?
- We kindly ask that you leave pets at home, as dogs will not be permitted at the event for safety and accessibility reasons.
What activities are there for kids?
- Stay tuned for all the activities we have planned!
How long is the walk, and is it accessible?
- The route is approximately 3km, is stroller and wheelchair accessible, and will be fully signed with volunteers along the way if needed. Closer to the event date, you will be able to view the full route on our Event Information page.
What is the weather is bad?
- This is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress for the conditions.
What should I bring?
- We recommend bringing: a water bottle, sunscreen and hat, comfortable walking shoes, and cash (for door prizes, vendors, and on-site donations).
Are there any hotel discounts or room blocks available?
