What can I expect on race day?
The event will start at 10:00am and include a quick warm up followed by a community 5K Run, 1K Walk and Kids Race. There will be water provided during the race and after the run there will be a community BBQ, food trucks and local vendors.
What should I bring to run?
You should bring a water bottle and wear running shoes, athletic clothes and sun protection (hat, sunscreen). Please check the weather before hand and bring any extra items (eg. rain jacket, wind breaker). Participants will also be given a run-shirt at the start of the event. Feel free to bring any snacks you need but there will be a food provided at the end of the run.
There will be no storage spaces for your personal items, so please put them in your vehicle before the race starts.
What weather should I expect?
It is expected to be hot and dry on race day. Dress for the weather! Drink lots of water and make sure to wear sunscreen, breathable clothing and a hat. In the days leading up to race day and on race morning, race management will be closely monitoring the weather forecast for any elements that may affect the event or the course.
How will race times be recorded?
The 5K Run will be informally timed by volunteers at the finish line. The top 3 male and top 3 female runners with the fastest finish times will receive prizes following the race.
Please note that this is a community fun run and participants will NOT be provided with timed race bibs or chip timing. Official individual race results will not be posted for all participants.
