Lace up your sneakers and grab your favorite pair of blue jeans - it’s time for a mile with a mission.
Join ASICS and 1st Place Sports on May 28 at 6:30 PM at Tepeyolot Cerveceria for a fun, high-energy community event that’s all about raising awareness for mental health. The run is completely free, but donations to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) are strongly encouraged during registration.
Here’s the inspiration behind it: In 2020, ASICS elite athlete Johnny Gregorek laced up in his favorite blue jeans and set the world record for the fastest mile ever run in denim - all to shine a spotlight on mental health. We’re keeping that spirit alive by running one mile in blue jeans together. For every mile run, ASICS will donate to NAMI, and you’ll also have the chance to contribute directly when you register.
Participation is free, but donating comes with perks - anyone who makes a donation will be entered into a raffle for shoes and gift cards.
After the run, stick around and make an evening of it. Tepeyolot Cerveceria serves some of the best Mexican food in the city, so plan to grab dinner, relax, and celebrate a great cause with friends.
