Let's crush our legs in a diversity of ways on Wilby! Here's the plan:

Event Overview
- Location: Vista Hills Public School (314 Sweet Gale St, Waterloo, ON)
- Start Time: 7:00 AM
- All participants begin with the 25 km run
- We're going to keep this event small to reduce congestion and risk given the open roads etc- so this event is for at least semi-active H+Pers!
Event Options
- 25 km (1 loop)
- 50–75 km (multiple loops)
- Duathlon- 25 km run + ~23 km bike
- ADDED: 8K run OR 8K + 23K bike sprint duatlon
Run Course
- Start/finish: Vista Hills Public School
- Open roads – run into oncoming traffic as much as possible
- Run within your limits and prioritize safety
- Turnaround marked with cones

It's the same start/end point as above, we just turn around sooner! Check it out HERE.
Bike Course
- Rolling, fun loop.
- Follow all rules of the road!
- Draft-legal race (no time trial bikes allowed)
- Cycling finish: just before stop sign at Wideman Rd & Wilmot Line- this will prevent a dangerous finish coming back to Vista Hills
- See the bike route here- note the different finish line than the run
Safety
- Roads are not closed – traffic is active
- Use caution, especially at intersections
- Do not take risks around vehicles
- If delayed significantly by traffic, notify organizers for possible time adjustment
Transition & Parking
- Transition zone: Vista Hills Public School parking lot
- Monitored throughout the event by volunteers
- Avoid parking at the school if possible (limited space)
Results
- Based on Strava segment times + finish time
- Manual timing available if not using Strava- but let us know beforehand!
- Overall rankings based on total duathlon time (spring and long course), 8K, 25K, 50K and 75K
- Athletes doing the 50K or 70K should keep their watch running the entire time, no pausing or autopause during transitions between loops.
- Duathletes should start a new activity OR use multi sport mode OR use a different device to separate their run and bike activity. We need you to hit the run and bike segment separately!
- Transition time will be calculated based on run segment time, and your bike activity start time.

- No course markings – review routes in advance
- Simple course, but includes some intersections- again- be safe!
