Funds raised for this event benefit all programs of the Free Clinic of Simi Valley that support Mental Health. The event's namesake, Fredrick Michael Gibson, was a caring, intelligent, and academically accomplished you man who enjoyed tennis, video games, and spending time with his beloved family. Tragically, in 2014, before he finished his last year at UCSD Skaggs School of Pharmacy, Fredrick lost his life to depression. Every year the community and many of Fredrick's family members, including race coordinator and Fredrick's aunt — Karen Finmark, come together to honor Fredrick by raising awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding depression, and supporting others to get life-saving mental health services. This event aims to stop the silent suffering of those with depression and invites participants to walk, run, and heal together.

Location: Rancho Simi Community Park – at the corner of Erringer Rd. & Royal Ave. next to the tennis courts.
The event will be on a SUNDAY again!!! Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 11th!
Event Times:
7:00am – Half Marathon Starts
8:15 am – 5K/10K Runners Start
8:20 am – 5K/10K Walkers & Strollers Start *NEW START TIME*
9:30AM – Kids Fun Run Starts

Please note: You must start your event on time. If you start late, you may not be timed, so please plan accordingly.
Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup Information:
Saturday, October 10th 1:00-5:00pm at 99.1 The Ranch Radio Station in the Simi Town Center Mall near the food court.
* It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you pick up your packets here the day before the event. *
If you need to pick up your packet on race day, please come early as it will be busy. If you are running the Half Marathon and want to sign up on race day, be sure to be there between 6:00am-6:45 am. Sign up will end for the Half Marathon at 6:45am. Sign up will end for 5K/10K 8:00am, and Kids Fun Run at 9:00am.
