The OLL Chicken Run is back! Join us for our 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Start and finish at Our Lady of Lourdes in Washington, MO. Medals for participants and prizes for top age group finishers.
We will be serving chicken wings at the end of the race as a preview to our AWESOME Parish Chicken Dinner. Stick around after the race for our Parish Festival!
5k to start at 8 am and Fun Run immediately to follow.

The Chicken Run!
In a time before the new church, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish was without a place to fry chicken for their annual festival. A small trailer with fryers was brought in from a neighboring parish. Workers were forced to spend long shifts in this small, hot space. It was a dangerous job, as they dodged blistering oil from the fryers and trekked across the parking lot to bring us our chicken. Year after year, these workers made the Our Lady of Lourdes Chicken Dinner possible, risking it all to bring the citizens of Washington their favorite chicken. These men and women earned the prestigious title of "Chicken Runners." We honor these brave Chicken Runners today as we participate in this memorial event, our very own Chicken Run.
