Welcome to the 19th running of the Power of Pink 5K. We hope you will join us again in Frog Level in Waynesville for a fun morning of running, walking and raising money for this important cause. Since the event was created in 2012, it has raised over $200,000, which as provided 1,975 mammograms and follow up procedures to over 1,000 men and women in Haywood County.

Saturday, September 19 - 6:30-8:15 a.m. - Commerce Street - Frog Level in Waynesville, NC
This will be the third year using this course, which takes runners and walkers from the start in front of Panacea and Frog Level Brewing on clockwise course through Hazelwood. Except for one hill at the start, this course is super flat with only 111 feet of elevation gain along the course.
Stuff
All participants will receive a race shirt along with goodies from a variety of sponsors and supporters.
Raffles
We will once again raffle off Theme Baskets prepared and donated by Haywood Regional Hospital departments and other friends in the community. You may purchase your raffle tickets during on-line registration or on race morning. Tickets are 12 for $20 or 2 per ticket (individual tickets only available on race day).
We will be once again be selling Memory Ribbons for $5 during registration and on race day to those wanting to honor friends and loved ones who are survivors and those battling breast cancer and those we have lost. After the event, these bibs will be displayed in the Cancer Center at Haywood Regional Hospital.

Tobacco Prohibition
The Town of Waynesville has an ordinance prohibiting the use of tobacco and e-cigarettes in business districts, which includes the venue where this event will take place.
Well behaved dogs who have current vaccinations and tags are welcome. If you plan to run/walk with them, please make sure you register them during the online process. The first dog to finish (with their human), will receive special recognition and a prize during the awards ceremony.
Following the race, participants may enjoy food, music, and raffle drawings for the gift baskets and watch the awards ceremony.
Individual awards will be given to the top three overall male and female, the top masters male and female and the top 3 male/female in the following age groups: 14&Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70&Over.
There are also awards for the Most Creative Participants and Fastest Dog. Team awards go to the department from Haywood Regional Medical Center with the most participants and a community organization with the most participants.
We have two great parking options for you: the Haywood County Parking Deck on Branner Avenue or Haywood Builders Supply (100 Charles Street). Both are .25 mile from the race site.
There is no parking on Commerce Street during the event.
Refunds/Transfers
The event has a NO REFUND policy. This is a rain or shine event.
Transfers
To transfer your registration to another person please log into Race Roster and select Transfer where prompted.
Transfers may be made up to the end of online registration but please allow time for the other person to accept it. Transfers must be completed by Thursday, September 17 at 9:00 PM.
This is the only way transfers or the selling of bibs between participants will be allowed. Anyone who is discovered to have purchased or accepted another person’s bib without submitting this form will be disqualified and banned from future races.
