Packet Pick Up / Registration Attendant
Packet pickup /Registration volunteers help with the distribution of race packets to participants at events. Some responsibilities of a packet pickup/registration volunteer are to direct runners to the correct area for packet pickup, verify runner identification, hand out race packets, and direct runners to the race registration area if they haven't already registered.
To ensure your task goes smoothly, we will provide you with training on Check-in / Registration software during the week of the race. Training info will be sent via email as we get closer to race week.
Course Marshal / Water Station
Course
Marshal is a volunteer who helps runners complete a race by:
Directing runners: Course marshals help runners navigate the course by pointing them in the right direction and warning them of obstacles. They may use megaphones or foam fingers to communicate.

Their responsibilities may include:
Volunteering at water stations can be a long day, but it's an important role that helps keep participants hydrated and motivated.
Color Thrower
Being a "color thrower" is a highly coveted, high-energy volunteer role at a color run. Your goal is to shower passing participants with vibrant, non-toxic cornstarch powder, bringing maximum enthusiasm to help make the event memorable.
- Where to Aim: Throw the powder at the runners from the chest down.
- What to Avoid: Never aim at a participant's face, eyes, or mouth.
- Safety First: Because the powder is dust-based, advise anyone with asthma or severe allergies to wear a mask or skip the heavily clouded color stations.
- Gear Up: Wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting stained, and protect your eyes with sunglasses and your mouth with a bandana.
