The Foundation gathers and distributes supplemental resources for educational purposes.
The Foundation has awarded over $65,000 in grants to teachers and administrators since 2018!
The Golf School District 67 Foundation is an independent, 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization and is based upon the philosophy that public education can be endowed through a broad-based system of community support, thus providing another avenue for enhancing and augmenting educational opportunities for student and teachers in Golf School District 67.

1. Who can participate in the D67 Dash?
Everyone! Whether you're an experienced runner, an occasional walker, or simply looking for a fun morning with family and friends, the D67 Dash welcomes participants of all ages and abilities.
If you aren’t able to walk the 5k (3.1 mile) course, we’d love to have you join us as a volunteer!
2. Can I walk or run with a stroller?
Absolutely! The D67 Dash is a family-friendly event, and participants of all ages (even the very young) are welcome. We ask that families pushing strollers start toward the back of the pack to allow the runners out ahead.
3. My child won’t be able to walk 5k (3.1 miles). Can they ride a bike or scooter?
Children are welcome to participate alongside their families, and strollers, bicycles, and scooters are permitted. The use of helmets is strongly encouraged. For everyone's safety, we ask that participants using strollers, bikes, or start toward the back of the pack, remain respectful of runners and walkers, and avoid impeding other participants along the course.
Please note that electric bikes (e-bikes) and electric scooters are not permitted. Children participating on bicycles or scooters are welcome to enjoy the event but are not eligible for race awards.
4. Where should I park?
The start/finish line and all activities take place at Frank Hren Discovery Park, 9500 Oak Park Avenue. Street parking is available on Oak Park Ave. and the surrounding area. The Frank Hren Discovery Park is behind Golf Middle School (9401 Waukegan Road). You could also park at Golf Middle School and walk across the field.
5. What happens after the race?
Don't rush home! Stick around for our post-race Dash 10th Anniversary Celebration featuring family-friendly activities, refreshments, music, awards, and opportunities to connect with neighbors, friends, and local organizations. It's one of the best parts of the morning!
6. Is the course timed?
Yes. The D67 Dash is professionally chip timed, so every participant receives an official finish time. Whether you're chasing a personal best or simply crossing the finish line, we're excited to cheer you on.
7. Will there be awards?
Yes! Awards will be presented to the top overall finishers and top finishers in each age group. Please note that the male and female overall winners are not eligible for an age group award. A complete list of award categories is available on the event page.
8. Will there be water and refreshments?
Yes. Two water stations will be available on the course, and participants can enjoy water and light refreshments after crossing the finish line.
Additional refreshments will be available for purchase after the race.
9. What happens if it rains?
The D67 Dash will take place rain or shine. In the event of severe weather or other conditions that could affect participant safety, race organizers will communicate any schedule changes or cancellations as early as possible.
10. Where does my registration fee go, and is it tax-deductible?
Your registration fee helps make the D67 Dash possible while supporting educational opportunities for students in District 67. Proceeds from the event benefit the District 67 Foundation's mission to enrich learning through innovative programs and experiences that enhance student success.
Because your registration includes participation in the event and other benefits, it is not tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.
If you'd like to make an even greater impact, we invite you to make an additional donation during registration or directly through the Golf School District 67 Foundation website. Unlike the registration fee, additional donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and help the Foundation continue investing in exceptional educational opportunities for District 67 students. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific circumstances.
11. My business or employer would like to support the D67 Dash. How can we get involved?
We'd love to partner with you! The D67 Dash is made possible through the generosity of local businesses and community supporters who believe in investing in District 67 students.
Sponsorships offer the opportunity to promote your business, products, and/or services to the District 67 community while supporting educational enrichment in our schools.
Opportunities are available at a variety of levels and formats (monetary contributions or in-kind contribution of goods or services).
To learn more about sponsorship opportunities, please contact us at foundation@golf67.net. We'd be happy to help you find the partnership that's the best fit for your business or organization.
