Memphis International Airport Runway 5K: Things to Know
The inaugural Memphis International Airport Runway 5K is approaching fast. We have more than 500 registrants already with more participants signing up each day! An airport is a very unique location for a race, so we’ve compiled some helpful information for participants:
Registration
The registration deadline is September 14 at midnight. Register here. Because participants and attendees will be entering a secure area of the airport, federal law requires all individuals to present proper identification (driver’s license or passport) upon entry (children two years of age and under who are accompanied by an adult are excluded). All participants and attendees over the age of two must be pre-registered before arriving on race day. There will be NO same-day registrations.
Parking
Participant parking will be inside a gated, secure area.
You will need to present your photo identification before entering the lot.
The parking lot is near 4317 Swinnea Road. Airport staff will assist and guide participants into the parking area.
Please arrive 1 hour before the start of the race – before/at 7am – to ensure you will have time to park and walk to the starting line.
Prohibited Items
Firearms, weapons and personal drones are prohibited in this area.
Participants can also pick up their packets onsite upon arrival on race day before 7:30am.
Water Policy
Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottle. Water will only be provided at the start and finish line; no water will be provided on the course.
