Participation in an ESRA-sanctioned event is conditional on compliance with the following rules.
1. Registration & Eligibility
All riders must:
Be registered for the event
Sign the official liability waiver
No riding is permitted before registration is completed.
Riders must attend the mandatory rider briefing.
Riders must not participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
2. Mandatory Safety Equipment
The following are mandatory at all times while riding:
Approved full-face helmet
Closed-toe footwear
Failure to wear mandatory safety equipment will result in immediate removal from the track.
3. Device Safety
Devices must be in safe working condition.
Brakes, throttle, steering, and battery systems must be secure and functional.
Unsafe or defective devices are not permitted to ride.
4. On-Track Conduct
Ride in a controlled and predictable manner at all times.
Dangerous, reckless, or aggressive riding is prohibited.
Riders must follow all event procedures explained in the rider briefing.
Riders must immediately comply with instructions from event officials or marshals.
5. Flags, Signals & Session Control
Riders must understand and obey all flags, signals, and stop instructions.
Failure to stop when directed is considered a serious safety breach.
6. Venue & Property Respect
Riding is permitted only in designated areas.
All riders must respect the venue, property, and surrounding infrastructure.
Any deliberate or reckless damage may result in removal and liability for costs.
7. Charging & Electrical Safety
Charging is permitted only in designated areas.
Chargers and leads must be in safe condition.
Unsafe charging practices are prohibited.
8. Spectator & Public Safety
Riders must remain aware of spectators and officials at all times.
Riders must not endanger spectators or other participants.
9. Behaviour & Sportsmanship
Respectful behaviour toward officials, volunteers, riders, and spectators is required.
Abuse, intimidation, or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.
10. Enforcement
Event officials may issue warnings, penalties, or exclusions.
Safety-related decisions are final and not subject to appeal during the event.
Acceptance of Rules
By participating in an ESRA-sanctioned event, all riders acknowledge and agree to comply with these rules and any event-specific instructions.
