HURONROX: A Functional Fitness Endurance style event in Huron County with a local twist, grit, grind, and community.

ALL INFORMATION BELOW IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY AND ENJOYMENT OF THE EVENT- please read carefully. Note - information is subject to change and any changes will be communicated ASAP.
Please treat all HuronRox volunteers with respect and appreciation — they are generously giving their time to help make this event safe, organized, and fun for everyone.
HURONROX EVENT FORMAT: Participants will complete a series of runs followed by a workout station in an order predetermined prior to race start for each division. Each station is preceded by a run loop, there is a FINAL run loop at the end of the last functional fitness station.
NOTE- Teams and Pairs- you must have ONE person register your group with a team or a pair name- you will need names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, shirt sizes and Date of Birth for your whole team- make sure you prepare this information AHEAD of the time you go to sign up. TEAM MEMBERS will be sent a registration "claim" link and will be prompted to sign their own waivers. Make sure to alert your team to watch for this email!

FACILITIES:
One Flush toilet and washroom on site along with 2 porta-potties
Water bottle filling stations
Athlete Warm Up area to be provided.
BYO- Camp Chairs, Food above and beyond what will be served. Athlete Area will be INSIDE AND OUTSIDE- bring a tent for shade if you want to be outside (hopefully not for rain!)

Please arrive early and be checked in on time so we can keep the event running smoothly. Note the cut off time for check in- NO EXCEPTIONS
SCALED Solo and Pairs- CHECK IN 9 AM- First Heat 10 am. CHECK IN CUT OFF- 9:30 am
Teams - CHECK IN 9:15 AM- Heat Time: 10:30 AM- CHECK IN CUT OFF- 9:45 am
RX SOLO AND PAIRS- CHECK IN TIME 11:30 AM- CHECK IN CUT OFF TIME: 12:00 PM
LUNCH- 11:30AM - 3:00 PM

SOLO Individuals:
Must complete all runs and workouts soloPairs & Teams:
Can split work however the pair/team wants - Only requirement: all work must be completed
PAIRS- both members run together always, all other movements can be split up anyway
TEAMS ONLY may designate One runner per run- no need to all run together

RX Weights and Distances, Standards SOLO and PAIRS
1300 m Run Between each station AND after the last station- this will be OUTDOORS on a mix of asphalt and concrete through a beautiful tree lined property known as "The Ridge". 2 LOOPS of 650 meters will be done to get 1300 m total run. NO TIME ON ANY ROADWAYS. Anyone running outside this area will be instantly disqualified.
640 feet FARMER CARRY- 2 x 70 lb male, 2 x 50 bs female (2 Kettle Bells )
600 ft SLED PULL- (This is a HARNESSED WALKING PULL) 75 LB Sled plus weight- total weight M= 190, F=155- ATHLETES WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING SLED IN THEIR LANE AND CHANGING THE STRAPS FOR REVERSE DIRECTION- wait for video for clarification
100 WALL BALL REPS- 20 lb ball to a 10' Target Male, 14 lb Ball to a 9' Target Female- MUST SQUAT BELOW PARALLEL AND HIT TARGET
Burpee Box Jump OVERS- Box Heights- Male- 24", Female 20"- 60 reps- RX MUST JUMP- burpees can be step back as long as chest touches floor every rep, NO EXTENSION needed at top for box jump OVERS- can face box or jump laterally, BOTH feet must be at the top of box at some point in the jump over. ATHLETES MUST STEP DOWN- NO JUMPING OFF BOX PERMITTED.

40 Burpee Box Jump/Step OVERS (CAN BE STEP UP and OVERS)- Box Heights- Male- 20", Female 12"- 40 reps. box jumps AND burpees can be steps as long as chest touches floor every rep for burpee, NO EXTENSION needed at top for box jump/step OVERS- can face box or jump laterally, BOTH feet must be on top of box at some point of the step over

TEAMS- OPEN (Everyone contributes! - Same weights and Reps as RX- work can be split any way!)
FOOD and Refreshments
Lunch to be BBQ PROVIDED for athletes and volunteers- BBQ- Spectators will be paid lunch
Local vendors will be onsite with coffee, snacks, and refreshments available for purchase.
KEL-C farms will have protein balls and other baked goods and coffee.
FREE for athletes and volunteers- BBQ from noon-2 pm, Fruit donated by Maitland Market

Upon Arrival you will be directed to park in a designated area.
Once the first race heat starts people arriving for later start times will NOT be allowed on the premises for safety of the athletes. PLEASE PARK ON THE EAST SIDE OF MILL ROAD - there will be a traffic volunteer to guide you- please follow their guidance.
NOTE- Parking ON THE PROPERTY- You will NOT be allowed to move your vehicle once the next heat starts- if you are in a rush to leave after your race then please park on Mill Road.- More details will be sent to everyone about parking specifics
