My Story…
Anthony Macario lives in Duryea with his wife, Melissa, and three children: Angelo (12), Dominic (10), and Selena (7). Anthony is a Penn State grad and currently work as a middle school ELA teacher (just completed 14 years) at Wyoming Area Secondary Center. He is also the head coach of the Boys’ Basketball team, having been in that position since 2018. In addition, Anthony is very active with the Greater Pittston Area little league, having been a coach there since 2018 and a board member since 2023.
“I support PPP because of all that it stands for. Cancer has affected entirely too many families, including my own, and I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this incredible event and to raise funds and support for such an important cause. When you have a chance to give back and to help others in need, you should take advantage of it. That is what I plan to do with PPP.”
Anthony will be participating in memory of his Aunt Jayne and in honor of someone very close to me who is currently in an ongoing battle with cancer.
