Humanity 5K Run * 1.5 Mile Walk * Sprint for Palestine Kids Dash

Get Ready for the 3rd Annual Humanity 5K, Presented by The Roux!

The Refugee Life Foundation is excited to announce that this year’s Humanity 5K will be held at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview on Sunday, May 31st, at 9:00 AM. We STRONGLY urge all participants to arrive no later than 8:30am due to limited access on to the field once the race begins.

Important Race Details

Online registration for the Humanity 5K closes on Friday, May 29th, at 5:00 PM. Registration will also be available during packet pick-up (May 30) and on Race Day (May 31) for $50 per participant.

Packet Pick-Up

There are two options for packet pick-up and in-person registration:

Participants may pick up bibs and T-shirts on behalf of registered participants. Students picking up must present a student ID.

Race Day Packet Pick-Up and Registration

Time: 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM

Race Location

This year, the race will start and finish inside the SeatGeek Stadium field. The race begins promptly at 9:00 AM. Runners and walkers will exit the stadium and follow the marked course, which is carefully managed by the Bridgeview Police Department and volunteers. Enjoy the run!

Parking

Parking for the Humanity 5K is available ONLY in the west parking lot of SeatGeek Stadium. There is NO parking in the east lot or in front of the building near Harlem Ave. Participants should park in the west lot and enter through GATE A, which leads directly to the soccer field.

Humanity 5k – Course Details

Start inside Seat Geek

-Run towards Back Tunnel at Southwest corner of Stadium

-Run from back tunnel to Northwest corner of fence/Stadium

-Exit Gate C turn right to follow walkway outside fence towards Northeast Corner

-Turn Right following the path along the stadium. Run South to Oketo & 71st St

(Walkers will turn around, follow same path, and walk back into SeatGeek stadium)

Runners Continue to route…

-Turn Right (west) to run on 71st Street

-Turn Left (south) on Beloit St

-Run on Beloit

-Turn Left (East) onto 78th Street

-Turn Left (North) onto Thomas Street

-Turn Right (East) onto 75th Street

-Follow round about to turn left (North) onto Oketo

-Run towards Seatgeek on Oketo

-Cross 71st Street to path leading into SeatGeek Stadium

-Run along stadium heading North still

-Turn left at North East corner of stadium

-Turn left into fence at Northwest corner of stadium

-Run towards Southwest corner of stadium and enter at Southwest tunnel

-Finish on SeatGeek Stadium Field

100-Yard Sprint for Palestine

The kids’ dash will begin organizing participants at 9:30 AM near the stage area. There will be three calls for kids to check in from 9:30 AM to 9:45 AM. Races will be organized by age groups: 5-6, 7-8, and 9-10. While our volunteers will do their best to manage age groups, we cannot guarantee perfect accuracy for each heat. Once participants are organized, they will be escorted to the start line, located about 100 yards west of the start/finish line. Medals will be awarded to first-place finishers in each heat.

Post-Race Festivities

Join us for a post-race celebration featuring delicious food from M’daKhan on the SeatGeek Stadium soccer field. The Humanity 5K is a chip-timed event, with trophies awarded to the overall male and female champions. First-place medals will also be awarded in the following age categories: 13 & Younger, 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & Up.
