Raise money for Alberta First Responders Association
About the Alberta First Responders Association (AFRA)
The Alberta First Responders Association (AFRA) is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on a single, vital mission: to empower the implementation of practical and immediate solutions for mental health support and suicide prevention for all Alberta First Responders.
Founded and led by those who have served on the front lines, the AFRA understands that the people who protect our communities often face the heaviest psychological burdens. Through our 1st Health initiative, we work to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health and provide first responders—including Police, Fire, EMS, Corrections, and Military—with the tools they need to stay resilient.
Your impact:100% of the funds raised through the "We Got Your 6-km" go directly toward:
Peer Support Programs: Connecting responders with colleagues who understand the job.
Suicide Prevention Training: Equipping agencies with the immediate skills needed to save lives within their own ranks.
EVENT Organization: A space created to bring each of the different agencies together for fun reasons instead of funerals.
When you support the AFRA, you aren’t just funding an event—you are ensuring that those who have our backs always have someone watching theirs.
