Having just passed the milestone of 30 years since our incorporation, we have been reflecting on LEGACY.

For all of the people who helped to bring Wellwood to our community three decades ago, all of those who have given so much of themselves through volunteering, and all of you who have supported our work…

This legacy is also yours.

Our clients have needed us, more than ever.

We have needed you, more than ever , too.

In recent years, the profile of “newly diagnosed” clients has changed significantly to “newly diagnosed at an advanced stage as well as at much younger ages. We are also supporting clients facing complicated issues beyond cancer ranging from mental health challenges to housing, employment, food and financial insecurity.

We are deeply committed to transparency, and to being trusted custodians of your gift. These remain turbulent times, including for small charities. We receive no funding from government, hospitals or national cancer organizations. We rely on donations, grants and special events to do what we do.
