We are proud to host the 10th Anniversary Run for ALD, the only homegrown event of its kind in the St. Louis area dedicated to raising vital awareness and funds for adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). Whether you join us in person or participate virtually from anywhere in the world on your own time, your steps help us Cure the Boys.

T-Shirt Deadline: You must register by October 21st to guarantee your shirt.

Why We Move: About ALD & Our Mission

• What is ALD? Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) is a progressive, rare genetic disease that most severely affects about 1 in 17,000 boys. Many suffer severe neurological symptoms that can result in death if the disease is undiagnosed and not treated very early.

• Our "Why" : This event is inspired by the vision of our son, Nicholas, who underwent a successful bone marrow transplant to halt the progression of his cerebral ALD at the University of Minnesota Children's Hospital (a world leader in ALD treatment).

100% of the funds raised from this event go directly to the University of Minnesota Leukodystrophy Center for ALD Research. Your support funds early identification, more effective therapies, treatment options, and hopefully, one day, a cure.
