Lace up your sneakers, leash up your pup, and join us on Saturday, September 12th at Lake Bde Maka Ska for one of the most joyful, heart-filled days of the year: The Bond Between’s Fast & The Furriest 5K9.

Not a runner? Not a problem! Feel free to walk, jog, or just exercise your right to hang out with cute critters!

Every step taken, every dollar raised, and every team formed helps create second chances for animals who once had none. It helps scared puppies learn how to trust. It helps families keep the animals they love during times of crisis. It helps provide medical care, foster homes, food support, rescue, rehabilitation, and hope to thousands of animals and people throughout our community.

Just recently, we welcomed a group of dogs rescued through USDA intervention from a commercial breeder. One tiny puppy, Monopoly, arrived so terrified she wouldn’t leave her kennel for days. She didn’t know what toys were. She didn’t know what couches were. She didn’t even know gentle touch could be safe. But little by little, love has started changing her world. Today, for the very first time, she walked over and asked for pets.

That moment exists because people showed up.

Because communities like ours choose compassion.
Because people decide these lives matter.
Because ordinary people come together and create extraordinary change.

This year, we are setting a lofty goal: Raise $100,000 through the power of our community.

And we truly believe we can do it, together.

Whether you walk, run, fundraise, volunteer, or simply come soak in the puppy kisses and community spirit, you are helping build a kinder world for animals and the people who love them.

Walk solo or create a fundraising team with friends, family, coworkers, or fellow animal lovers! Participants will have the opportunity to fundraise for The Bond Between and earn some pawsome prizes along the way.

Because at the end of the day, this event is not really about a 5K.

It is about what becomes possible when people choose to care.
