Every October, the Michael Lisnow Respite Center hosts Michael’s Run 5K, a special community road race held in the heart of Hopkinton. On this beautiful fall day, neighbors, families, volunteers, and supporters come together to run, walk, or wheel three miles through the colorful New England landscape.
Michael’s Run is much more than a race. It is a community celebration that brings people of all ages and abilities together in support of the Respite Center’s mission. Participants include seasoned runners, families pushing strollers, individuals with disabilities, and friends who simply want to be part of something meaningful.
The event is held in loving memory of Michael Lisnow, whose spirit continues to inspire the work of the Respite Center and the community that surrounds it. Through this run, Michael’s spirit lives on as we celebrate the time he was able to spend with all of us and the lasting impact he continues to have.
Michael’s Run 5K is a day filled with energy, connection, and shared purpose. It is a chance for the entire community to come together, celebrate inclusion, and support programs that enrich the lives of children and adults with disabilities.
