Our story…
On Sunday, August 16, 2026, Team McHenLi will head to Joe Sams Leisure Park in Hamilton to participate in a 5K walk/run, in honour of Chris Owens.
Chris was Andrew’s younger cousin who lost his battle with mental health and addiction in 2021 at the age of 26. He was a funny and passionate human being who is missed every day by family and friends.

Our team is participating in A Run for Chris in honour of Chris Owens. On August 20, 2021, at the age of 26, Chris lost his battle with mental health and substance use.
This year, we’re raising funds for St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s Cleghorn Early Intervention Clinic, which supports youth aged 16–35 experiencing early psychosis through a specialized interprofessional team.
Early intervention can make a life-changing difference—supporting recovery, independence, relationships, education, and employment.
