Elf Positions
Morning Set-Up and Tear Down (5:30am-10:30am)
Lots goes into getting race day started! Help blow up the Snow Globe Photo Booth, set up tables, deliver water to the water station, hang signage, set-up the awards table, assist with runner registration - and then help take it all down when it's over! Set-Up and Tear Down does NOT include placing or removing barricades along the course.
Course Marshal (8:00am-10:00am)
Course Marshals are the most important position of the run - they ensure our runners don't get lost! Marshals will be assigned an intersection or turning point along the course, and will help to direct traffic when needed to ensure runners can safely cross without interference. Barricades will be at the prominent intersections. Course Marshals will be provided with a safety vest.
Snow Globe Photo Booth (6:30am-10:30am)
The Snow Globe is a life-size inflatable that participants can get inside to have their photo taken! Help is needed to zip and unzip the entrance to keep the globe inflated, managing the line, and taking pictures.
Finisher Medal Table (8:00am-10:30am)
Everyone loves seeing this volunteer at the end of the run! As runners and walkers cross the finish line, help is needed handing out the medals. Participants must have a bib in order to receive a medal.
Water Table On-Course (8:00am-10:00am)
Even though the morning is chilly, runners still need water to stay hydrated! The Water Station is near the 2-mile mark, and help is needed prepping bottles, handing to runners as they fly past, and collecting empty bottles.
Donut Table (6:30am-10:30am)
Arguably the most delicious volunteer position! Help is needed handing out hundreds of assorted donuts to runners before and after the run.
