Cross-country style trail run or walk on grass, dirt and mulch trails of the Prairie Pines Nature Preserve. For runners and walkers of all ages, with or without a dog.

Prairie Pines Nature Preserve, 3100 N. 112th Street, Lincoln NE · 9 AM 1- Mile, Adult (over age 12) & Youth 1-Mile (age 12 & under), are run together, followed by 4-mile at approximately 9:30 AM
Runners and dogs run/walk together – runners’ line up first followed by joggers/walkers and all with dogs.
*Dogs must always be on an 6’ or shorter standard leash; no retractable or bungee-type leash (must show leash at packet pickup). Dog scat pickup required. IF you know your dog is aggressive towards other dogs or not comfortable with unknown people, this is probably not the right event for your pup. Owners with aggressive dogs will be asked to leave*
Timer, no bibs or chips. BRING YOUR OWN WATER BOTTLE. There will be one water fill-up spot on 4-mile course.

All proceeds benefit the Prairie Pines Partners at the Prairie Pines Nature Preserve.
Mission of the Prairie Pines Nature Preserve; "Sustain a habitat for all living things through conservation, education and experience to promote a lasting connection with the natural world and its resources." Race proceeds will be used to help fund trail maintenance at the Preserve and a future connector trail to Lincoln, that will allow direct, safe access to one of the Lincoln areas least known natural areas and its hiking trails. The Prairie Pines Nature Preserve provides wildlife habitat in its woodland and grassland and human nature experience and education. https://prairiepines.org/
Race awards from the Lincoln Running Company and Woodland Animal Hospital will be presented after the 4-mile run. Awards as follows: 4-mile: top three male & female, 1-mile: top male & female (over 12 years), Youth 1-mile: top male & female (12 & under).
Paws Award: The top finishing dog (With its human!) in the 4-mile and 1-mile race will receive a $100 gift certificate from Woodland Animal Hospital (Hickman/Springfield), and a $100 gift certificate will be given in a drawing of all other dogs present at the awards.
Awards will be presented after the 4-mile race.
After race complementary bagels from Bagels & Joe & refreshments available. Coffee, smoothies and breakfast items available for purchase.
Parking is available at Prairie Pines. You are encouraged to carpool. Enter at south entry off 112th St. Watch for parking volunteers
