Somerset Berkley Education Foundation Halloween 5K & Walk

Thank you for joining our Halloween 5K (Run or Walk)!

The Somerset Berkley Education Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, grants to educators in Somerset and Berkley schools for programs outside of school budgets that further creativity, innovation, and excellence. Since 2019, we have awarded more than $251,000 in grants for innovative curricula and projects including the arts, STEM, life skills, and creative educator-led projects. We are all volunteers!

RACE INFORMATION

RACE DAY CHECK-IN & SAME DAY REGISTRATION STARTS at 7:30 A.M.

THIS EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE!

Registration will also be accepted on Race Day starting at 7:30 A.M. (cash or check, electronic payment (Venmo like transaction called "Give Butter")

-Race and Walk STARTS AT 9:00 A.M.

This is a fundraiser for students so will not issue refunds.

** We will have water and race snacks for participants. NOTE: Limited # of shirts available on race day if you did not register by Oct. 7, 2026.

The 5K starts at Pierce Beach and runs along the scenic Taunton River along Riverside Avenue and returns the same route back to the beach. There will be volunteers stationed along the race route.

Everyone is encouraged to wear Halloween costumes (even if you are not running or walking)! We will have prizes in multiple categories for costumes.

TO GUARANTEE A RACE SHIRT YOU MUST SIGN UP BY SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 11:59 P.M. A limited amount will be available race day for those who missed the deadline.

There will be cash awards ($100) for the overall winners (first female and first male), prizes for age group winners, prizes for first male teacher and first female teacher winners, costume prizes, team prizes (student groups, teams participation), and medals for children participants!
