The Turkey Trot is a 5K run/walk held every year in Greensburg, PA on Thanksgiving Day. This event was created by five friends who ran every day at lunch. They created a non-profit called Westmoreland Community Sharing to develop this race and 35 years later, their event is still going strong! When you participate in the trot, you are supporting multiple non-profits in your community.
Event Shirts: Register before November 9th, to receive a shirt. Can upgrade to a moisture wicking shirt for $10.

History is created by those bold enough to make it. Keyboard critics do not shape the future. Actual physical action requires courage and commitment. These very principles will never fade with time.
Your commitment to share your Thanksgiving with us signifies the courage not only to brave the elements but enable the change necessary to improve our community and all those less fortunate. We dare to do great things because they serve a greater good. Service to others is not only satisfying but fuel for the soul.
Your efforts and support today will be returned a thousand times over should you ever find yourself in need of the help of First Responders for circumstances beyond your control. Your kindness makes their very existence possible. Your donations have also helped the hungry and those without family on a day when family and food are celebrated. Not to be forgotten, God’s most loving creatures, our pets, have had their lives blessed by your generosity. The Humane Society’s shelter has provided a lifeline not only too many dogs and cats but those in need of true friendship and devotion.

Online registration will close at midnight on Sunday, November 22nd. Individuals wishing to register will need to go to the Courthouse lobby Wednesday, November 25th between 4 and 7 or Thursday, November 26th from 7 to 8:30.

Awards and Age Groups
Age Groups:
- Kids class (13 and under), 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+.
- Clydesdale (>200 lbs.) is for runners only.
Awards:
- Top 3 overall male and female runners and walkers
- Top 3 overall Clydesdale runners
- Top 2 male and female runners and walkers in
RACE TIMING:
- Timing service through a disposable chip.
- Timing option MUST be marked on registration (If not marked, participant will not be timed.
- Race chips are collected at the end of the race to recycle.
Teams
Thanksgiving is a time for friends and family, so bring them along for the CUP CHALLENGE.
Participate with your family, celebrate your high school spirit, or bring your coworkers and join in the fun!
- Unlimited family, high school, and corporate team members registered as a group in either the run or walk category.
- Top 3 finish times will be averaged together to determine the winner of the Bupp Family Cup, High School and Corporate Cup Trophy.
- Each member of your team will also be eligible in his/her individual age category.
APPLICATIONS MUST BE MARKED & SUBMITTED TOGETHER AND RECEIVED PRIOR TO RACE DAY. CUP TEAM APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ON RACE DAY!
