Join Us in Making a Difference!
The 3rd Annual Run for Palestine (RfP) Saskatoon is back! This fun, family-friendly event welcomes all members of the community to walk 2 km or run 5 km while raising vital funds for humanitarian aid in Palestine.
This year, with your support, our goal is to fundraise $15,000 for Palestine.
Keep running. Keep fundraising. Keep believing.
Let’s show the world the strength of our community.
Why We Run
In partnership with Islamic Relief Canada, this year's fundraising will support the Eye Cataract Surgery Project at the Specialized Eye Hospital in Northern Gaza, Palestine, as well as Phase 2 of last year's humanitarian response project in Gaza.
This year's support will help provide:
Life-changing cataract surgeries and specialized eye care for vulnerable patients at risk of preventable blindness
Emergency food and health services for families affected by the ongoing crisis
Sponsorship for orphans in desperate need of care and support
Basic essentials including clean water, healthcare, shelter, and psychosocial support
Making an Impact
Through Phase 1 of the Eye Cataract Surgery Project, your support helped achieve:
9,782 beneficiaries reached
13,478 medical consultations provided
More than 122,562 clinical services delivered
1,136 ophthalmic surgeries completed, including 359 cataract surgeries
Phase 2 of the eye care project is now underway, with more than 519 ophthalmic surgeries completed in its first two months across multiple specialties, including cataract, retinal, glaucoma, corneal, pediatric, and other vision-saving procedures.
Patients are selected based on medical need and urgency through assessments conducted by the hospital’s ophthalmology teams. The project prioritizes vulnerable conflict-affected populations in Northern Gaza, including low-income families, elderly individuals at risk of preventable blindness, trauma patients, and children and adults requiring specialized eye care.
How You Can Help
Fund a Cataract Surgery – A donation of $1,200 CAD can restore sight by covering the full cost of one life-changing cataract surgery.
Donate, Run, or Volunteer – Every contribution helps provide essential healthcare, humanitarian support, and hope to vulnerable families and patients in Gaza.
