For 25 years, Second Wind Fund has worked to ensure that no young person faces a mental health crisis alone. By removing financial and social barriers to care, SWF connects youth at risk for suicide with mental health providers and life-saving support when they need it most.

Today, youth across Colorado are facing growing mental health challenges, and more families than ever are reaching out for help. Thanks to the generosity of our community, Second Wind Fund continues to answer that call, providing timely access to care and creating pathways to hope for thousands of young people and their families.

What began as a small gathering of supporters has grown into a beloved community tradition. The Annual Walk/Run brings together families, friends, mental health advocates, community partners, and supporters from across Colorado for a day filled with connection, remembrance, celebration, and fun.

Whether you're running the 5K, walking with loved ones, cheering from the sidelines, or participating in family-friendly activities, you'll be part of a community united by a shared belief: every young person deserves access to mental health care and the opportunity to thrive.

Join us on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Clement Park as we celebrate 25 years of impact, honor the lives and stories that inspire our mission, and take meaningful steps toward a future filled with hope for Colorado youth.

Together, we're not just celebrating the past 25 years—we're building the next 25 years of hope.

There are various ways to participate:

  • Register and walk or run on Sunday, September 20th
  • Virtually participate from home
  • Create a peer-to-peer fundraiser and help us reach more Colorado youth. Top fundraisers will be recognized and receive exclusive Second Wind Fund prizes and SWF swag!

Fundraising Awards
Help us expand access to mental health care for Colorado youth by creating a fundraising team or individual fundraising page. The top three fundraising teams will be recognized for their incredible support and impact.
