Our story…
On June 16, 2023, our Sammy’s life changed in an instant when she was involved in a devastating accident with an 18-wheeler. Her vehicle was launched over an overpass, falling approximately 18 feet.
We named her journey “Sammy’s Marathon” because we knew from the very beginning that her recovery was never going to be a sprint. It would take time, determination, faith, countless hours of therapy, and more strength than most of us will ever understand.
She continues to fight and work toward the goal we have prayed for since the beginning — for her to one day be able to stand on her own and hopefully walk again.
Project Walk provides the specialized therapy Sam needs to continue working toward those goals, and all proceeds raised through Sammy’s Marathon go directly to Sammy’s therapy.
Every registration, donation, prayer, share, and person who shows up for Sam helps keep her moving forward.
There are no guarantees on this journey, but we are not giving up — and neither is she.
