On Saturday, August 8 the Buckeye Sun & Moon Trail Runs take place at Alum Creek State Park in Galena, Ohio. Run in the morning or at night...or Both!

The Buckeye Sun Trail Runs are for the early risers looking for a fun trail run along side the participants of the Last Buckeye Backyard Ultra that is happening.

The Buckeye Moon Trail Runs bring you a unique night event for all trail lovers!

Bother events have multiple distances to choose from, a great finisher amenity, awesome race shirts that you’ll want to wear, and a cool experience of a great run in the woods and along Alum Creek Reservoir this is a trail run you don't want to miss out on!

13K (8.167M)
20K (12.167M) and
26K (16.167M)

COURSE

This loop course is moderately rolling, trail that runs that features a gorgeous nighttime view of Alum Creek Reservoir. The course is a figure-8 course will be marked with small LED lights along the way to assist you in trail navigation. The race is composed of a ~ 4.167-mile trail course with trail runners able to choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 lap options. PLEASE REVIEW COURSE MAP BELOW AND UNDERSTAND COURSE PROGRESSION.

Headlamps or a running light is required for the Night Run

7K = 1 loop
13K = 2 loops
20k = 3 loops
26k = 4 loops Time limit: 26K = 5:00 hours

* Note- All other distances have at least the time limit listed above.

EVENT SHIRT

Event shirts are an optional purchase item during registration. Shirts are great fitting soft Tri-Blend (Red or Black depending on color availability) custom event shirt.

AWARDS

All finishers will receive a commemorative finishers medal.

The Top 3 OVERALL male and female finisher for each distance will receive an award to commemorate their finish.

The top Male and Female finisher in each age division will receive a commemorative awards. The following divisions are available:

PARKING

There is ample parking at the Galena Boat Ramp off Africa Rd. Please park in designated area in parking lot. Do not park in the grass or along the road.
