Shiitake 5K Run/Walk

Come join us for our annual Shiitake 5k on October 17th, 2026 in Madisonville, Tx. The race course will be at Lake Madison with a start time of 8:30am. We will release the 5k course a month prior to the event. This is a chip timed event. Registration is $45/person until October 3rd, 2025. After October 3rd, 2025 registration will be $50/person until 8:00am the day of the race. Packet pick-up is Friday evening, October 16th, starting at 6pm - 7pm in the Truman Kimbro Center, 113 W Trinity. Packets will also be available for pick up morning of the race.

Don't forget about our Lil' Shiitake Kids Mile with a start time of 9:30am, registration fee is $10.00/child. This is event is for the whole family.

Every participant will receive a t-shirt if registered by September 18th, 2025. Participants registered after September 18th, 2025 are NOT guaranteed a t-shirt, given out upon availability.

Every participant of 5k will receive a medal.

1. Top Overall Female
2. Top Overall Male
3. 13 - 18 years 1st, 2nd & 3rd
4. 19 - 39 years 1st, 2nd & 3rd
5. 40 - 60 years 1st, 2nd & 3rd
6. 61+ years 1st, 2nd & 3rd

Awards given for Kids Mile (12 & Under):
1. 1st
