Our story…
Donations to the Race for Our Kids help support the care and resources that make a difference for kids and their families. We’ve gotten to experience that firsthand through Bobbi’s journey, which is why we’re so excited to be part of this year’s Sinai Superstars. Bobbi was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia at just 8 weeks old. At first, we were told it would be a quick fix — just six weeks in a brace. But ten months later, we were told that Bobbi would need a series of surgeries.

After seeing multiple doctors between Charlotte and Baltimore, we kept hearing the same recommendation. Fortunately, we weren’t able to find operating room time right away, and we were referred to Dr. McClure and his team at the Rubin Institute for Orthopedics. They took the time to look at Bobbi’s situation and determine what they felt was the best path for her.
Dr. McClure put Bobbi in a new brace, and since then, we’ve seen encouraging progress. She’s crawling, standing, and continuing to hit new milestones.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have found the pediatric orthopedic team at Sinai. Their care and guidance have made such a difference in Bobbi’s journey. We’re so grateful for how far she’s come.

We’re excited to be recognized as Sinai Superstars this year and to help support the work they do for kids and families.
Go Team Bobbi!
