Mapleweird Community 5K & Fun Run

The inaugural MapleWeird Community 5K & Fun Run is running on October 25, 2026, bringing a community race back after many years away!

With a 5K race and a 0.5-mile Fun Run, there's something for everyone, whether you're a serious runner or just in it for the fun. Costumes are encouraged for all races with prizes for best kid’s costume and best group costume in the Fun Run.

The celebration continues after the race with live music and a Trunk-or-Treat at Schlafly Bottleworks during their monthly Sundaze event. Gather your family and friends and help us kick off a new Maplewood tradition!

Packet Pickup Information

Packet pickup will be at Schlafly Bottleworks on the following dates:

  • Friday, October 23rd - 4pm-7pm
  • Saturday, October 24th - 12pm-4pm
  • Sunday, October 25th - 8am-10:30am

Award Info

Awards will be available in the 5K for overall and age group winners. Age groups will be added later. All kids run finishers will receive a medal.

Course Information

The 5k is a timed course around beautiful Maplewood. You’ll run through parks and past local businesses and cheering crowds. The loop course contains some hills (you’ve been warned) and starts and ends at Schlafly Bottleworks. Costumes are encouraged, and the celebration will continue after the races with live music and a Trunk-or-Treat at Schlafly's monthly Sundaze fair featuring local artists, entertainers, and vendors. 5k participants are welcome to also register for the half-mile Fun Run.

5K COURSE MAP

This half-mile course is fun for the whole family. Costumes are encouraged and we’ll award a prize to the best-dressed kid, and group costume. Every adult registered for the Fun Run will be given a Schlafly beverage, and each kid will be given a spooky race medal! This race is untimed, but keep an eye out for our Board of Directors, who may be hiding in plain sight in some creative costumes... Any kids who manage to beat them to the finish line will earn a special prize!
